In February, Témo X. Madrigal-Sanchez joined POD as a training & onboarding specialist. In this role, Témo facilitates Welcome Day, which is presented to new employees twice a month, and oversees all aspects of this onboarding program. In addition, Témo coordinates SLP Supervisor Orientation and will lend his considerable knowledge and charismatic presentation style to POD’s training classes.

“Returning to Seattle and to UW has long been my dream,” Témo says. “I have greatly appreciated the inviting and supportive environment at POD, and I’m genuinely looking forward to welcoming new employees and being a part in helping them successfully start their UW careers.”


Témo is currently enrolled in the Master’s in Organizational Leadership program at Gonzaga University. He served as an advisor at UW Bothell a decade ago and has since worked at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences and Virginia Mason Memorial in Yakima. Throughout his rich and varied experience in higher ed, medicine, the private sector, and volunteer work, he has focused on supporting and developing others, whether students or staff.

Témo is passionate about development in all aspects of his life. “I’m very proud of the community service work that I have done in Yakima,” Témo explains, “and I am joining several organizations in Seattle to continue that passion.”

In Yakima, Témo received numerous awards for his service, and so far in Seattle, he is contributing his time and energy to the Seattle Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Woodinville Wine Association, Seattle Frontrunners LGBTQ running and walking club, and other organizations.
