University Consulting Alliance Update

Gina Moore, Consultation Services Coordinator

As you may know, the University Consulting Alliance offers more than 50 internal and external consultants who have been screened by POD and approved by UW Procurement Services. When I joined POD earlier this year, one of my first projects was overseeing the RFQQ process that occurs every six years to screen applicants for the Alliance.

After reviewing nearly 100 applications, I’ve learned a great deal about individual consultants as well as what is required for a consultant to be accepted in the Alliance. The initial screening is now complete, and our website is being updated to reflect the current roster of consultants who are available to contract with UW leaders and departments.

Here’s a brief overview of what you can expect:

Along with managing the RFQQ process, I have been working with clients across the University seeking customized training, coaching, retreat facilitation, and other consulting services. If you contact me to inquire about consulting services, my response will be to gather pertinent information about your current situation and individual or organizational objectives so that I can recommend two or three consultants who I believe to be well-positioned to meet your needs.

Over the past five months, I have been working on getting to know the consultants we work with. In addition to familiarizing myself with their bios, I’ve discovered it is incredibly beneficial for me to talk to consultants one-on-one so that I can better align their expertise, interests, and approach with our clients and their needs. Over the next year, my goal is to continue having conversations with each and every consultant in the Alliance so that I can, in turn, better serve leaders and organizations at the UW.
